Airport hangar construction is bringing a fresh wave of investment and energy to the Chandler Municipal Airport in Arizona.

This milestone comes as local leaders have approved a major agreement that will deliver new executive hangars to the city’s growing aviation hub.

For years, pilots and aviation businesses have waited anxiously for more storage and workspace at the airport, as hangar availability in Chandler has lagged far behind demand.

The announcement of 29 new executive hangars could not have come at a better time, as Chandler’s aviation scene continues to flourish.

According to local officials, the planned facilities will rise on the airport’s northern boundary, unlocking access to roughly 113,000 square feet of modern space for business jets and private aircraft.

This marks a significant upgrade for the local aviation community, which has often seen pilots forced to seek storage at airports miles away.

The developers behind this ambitious airport project bring a proven track record, operating aviation facilities across multiple states.

They will be transforming approximately five acres of unused land adjacent to one of Chandler Municipal Airport’s main taxi lanes—an area long considered ripe for expansion and growth.

Within 24 months, Chandler Municipal Airport hangars will see at least 10 standard, four large, and two extra-large executive hangars, answering the call of both local pilots and traveling business leaders.

The new executive hangars offer flexibility for both leases and purchases—a competitive edge that’s already creating buzz among aircraft owners in the Valley.

As part of the agreement, the city will benefit financially with a share of each sale, ensuring that Chandler’s growth in aviation translates to broader community investment.

With airport hangar construction on the rise, Chandler positions itself as a prime destination for general and business aviation.

The momentum surrounding Chandler Municipal Airport hangars signals a new era of opportunity in the region.

Chandler's getting popular for aviators! Maybe now it's time to upgrade my plane.

That northern side needed a facelift for a while. Glad someone saw the potential.

As a neighbor, I'm just hoping for good noise control. But happy for the city's growth.

Maria F.Same here, Maria. Hopefully they keep up the sound barriers and curfews like they promised before.

I hope the extra planes won't make traffic crazy around the airport.

Lucas SinghGood point. Even now, there are times when McQueen gets backed up with airport traffic.

Does anyone know how prices compare to other airports? Curious about lease rates.

Evan GreerI was wondering that too. Sky Harbor and Mesa have always seemed pricier, but I haven't seen Chandler's new numbers yet.

Wish some of that space was for smaller hobby planes too, not just the big jets.

Paul RenshawYeah, it'd be great to see more smaller hangars too. Lots of us just have little Cessnas or Pipers!
