Where: Arizona Avenue on-ramp to eastbound Loop 202

Status: Closed until late July 2025

ADOT's widening project has shut down the Arizona Avenue eastbound on-ramp for the next several weeks. If you're heading east on the Santan Freeway from downtown Chandler, you'll need to adjust your route.

Alternate routes:

Alma School Road: Head north to the Alma School on-ramp (about 1 mile north of Arizona Ave)

McQueen Road: Head south to the McQueen on-ramp (about 1.5 miles south of Arizona Ave)

The bigger picture: This closure is part of the 00 million Loop 202 widening project between Loop 101 and Val Vista Drive. The 8-mile stretch is getting an extra lane in each direction to handle Chandler's growth.

Timeline: The Arizona Ave ramp should reopen by late July. The full widening project continues through 2026.

Traffic tip: Allow an extra 10–15 minutes during morning and evening rush if your commute uses this ramp.
